Hi All- Newbie here looking for some guidance

I am looking for information on the service brakes for my coach. It is a 2000 Safari Continental Magnum Air B series Chassis. The manual, which include other models, seem to contradict the VIN code. The VIN code simply says hydraulic. I do know the brakes are hydraulic- My question are they hydraulic over hydraulic or air over hydraulic? I have also seen a reference to hydraulic with electric backup???
The reason for my search is I want to add a M&G braking system to my toad (2012 Honda CR-V) as it seems to be the most convenient after it is setup.

I would appreciate hearing any detail you might provide.

I see the M & G system has a model for RV's with hydraulic brakes on the coach. We installed a SMI Stay-In-Play Duo system on our Toad because we do not have air on the coach (1996 Sahara) Once installed, it is a simple matter of turning the system on.

After some research, I have come to understand that my on-board air will work with the M&G Brake System. Thanks for sharing your approach.

Huck,

your service brakes are Hydraulic over hydraulic. It is a GM Hydromax system. The air pump on the rear cross member above the transmission is used for two purposes, operating the exhaust brake and the air horn. It will be fine with the addition of the M&G set up. It should be however moved to a cleaner environment if possible. The current location prevents ant regular maintenance.
